GSM WORLD CONGRESS, CANNES, France, 15 February 2005
— IXI Mobile, Inc., developer of mass market messaging

and the program’s director at SANYO said: “IXI-Connect

that meet our customers’ needs.” He added that
“IXI-Connect OS allows us to deliver innovative wireless
products, leveraging the WiPOQ and SANYO brands, further expanding
our product offering.”

About PMG
Personal Mobile Gateway technology (PMG®) combines cellular
(e.g. GSM/GPRS, CDMA, etc.) and short distance wireless (e.g.
Bluetooth or other technologies like WiFi), with micro-router
and micro-server functionalities. It is the point of connection
between the wireless network and a new category of affordable
and best-of-breed mobile devices for consumers (PMG Companions).
The PMG enables a new set of innovative, optimized PMG Companion
devices (e.g. messaging terminals, watches, cameras and MP3
players) that deliver a superior user experience, while still
focused on fashion and budget. These devices cost less to
manufacture, can be brought to market much faster than ordinary
mobile phones or smartphones, and generate greater data usage.
The PMG also seamlessly connects existing legacy terminals
(e.g. PDAs, laptops) with no additional client software needed.

COMSCIENCES provided the conceptual design as well as marketing
and sales direction. Its product design studio in London,
well versed in European tastes – took the lead. Technical
development was coordinated from Sanyo Technology Center USA

in Shimane Japan rounds out the team providing manufacturing
and final assembly.
